Origin and nature of the infection

Papilloma or PVI (human papillomavirus infection) refers to viral infectious diseases. It is characterized by the appearance and development of swellings on the skin and mucous membranes, similar to warts on the "leg", sometimes they can be on a wide basis. The surface of the neoplasm is uneven, somewhat similar to a miniature cauliflower head.

The color of the papilloma is different: from white to dark brown, and it can appear anywhere: on the face (around the eyes, eyelids), under the arms, on the neck, in the décolleté, under the breasts in women.

Often, the papilloma virus manifests itself on the mucous membranes of the mouth, pharynx, paranasal sinuses, or even on the vocal cords. There are cases when PVI has been found in the gastric mucosa, in the bladder, but most often it settles on the genitals. No matter how they ensure that 80-90% of the world's population is infected with the human papillomavirus, one cannot ignore its appearance and take no action.

Usually, the immune system first fights against this virus and successfully overcomes it, not allowing it to cover the whole body. But right now, few people can boast of a healthy and strong immune system, so PVI attacks more and more aggressively.

It is generally accepted that being in the human body, the papilloma virus accumulates, and under favorable conditions (decrease in defenses, stress, etc. ) begins to progress.

Sexual promiscuity, bad habits, exposure to stress, prolonged drug use, frequenting very humid public places (swimming pools, beaches) only increase the risk of PVI. Infection most often occurs through sexual or household contact, there is a high probability of transmission of the virus from a sick mother to a newborn baby. The disease itself in an adult manifests itself in 2-3 months.

Why remove papilloma

Some believe that it is not necessary to remove the papilloma. If the formation is benign and is not exposed to external factors (for example, a papilloma in the abdomen is constantly rubbed with a belt buckle or a wart on the back of the neck with a belt), then inprinciple, it is not necessary to remove it. However, it is worth remembering the following facts:

  • Unremoved papilloma can become a source of self-infection.
  • Papilloma is a benign formation. However, in a certain situation, it can get clever.
  • You can infect your family and friends with the virus through family contact.

Therefore, before you think about removing the papilloma, think about your health and that of those around you. You can always choose the method of withdrawal and the place where it will take place: in a private clinic, in a public outpatient clinic or at home.

However, it is not recommended to remove the papilloma on the eyelid, face, armpits, neck and other areas of the body with delicate skin.

Papillomas are small, misshapen skin growths, red or brown, that can be found on any part of the body (inner thighs, armpits, nose, face, chest, neck, etc. ) at any age. Papillomas can be caused by: hormonal changes during pregnancy, scratches (clothing, jewelry or shaving), heredity, excessive use of steroids, etc. It can be itchy at times, but it doesn't hurt.
