Remedy for papillomas: ways to eliminate them

Papilloma on the neck of a woman

Papillomas are benign neoplasms located on the surface of the skin and mucous membranes, having the appearance of a papillary growth located on a thin "leg". This disease is associated with the human papillomavirus. The resulting papillomas can be injured, painful and cause external defects. In this case, the natural question of their removal arises. Below we will talk about drugs to eliminate papillomas.

The human papilloma virus is far from a harmless representative of the viral flora. Not only does it cause the formation of papillomas and warts, this pathogen sometimes leads to the appearance of malignant tumors, including cervical cancer. In 2019, scientists published a work in which it was found that the population is little aware of the human papillomavirus, its transmission routes, its consequences and prevention measures.

Local medicines

Apply topical medication to remove the papilloma

First of all, let's look at drugs specifically designed to eliminate papillomas. We emphasize that before using them you must consult a specialist.

The first drug is a liquid for external use, which contains two components: metacresol and phenol. It should be applied punctually to the affected areas of the skin or mucous membranes using a special stick, avoiding contact with adjacent areas of the skin. As a general rule, for small papillomas, a single application is sufficient; for larger ones, repeated applications (3 to 4 times) may be necessary at intervals of several minutes.

How does this remedy work? The components included in the solution lead to coagulation of skin proteins, leading to the disappearance of papillomas.

Another commonly used preparation is a liquid made from sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and sodium hydroxide. It also has a cauterizing effect, allowing you to effectively remove not only papillomas, but also warts, genital warts, etc.

Additionally, a solution containing:

  • nitric acid;
  • acetic acid;
  • Lactic acid;
  • oxalic acid dihydrate;
  • copper nitrate trihydrate.

It belongs to local necrotizing drugs, promotes the destruction of pathologically changed tissues. This product is also applied punctually to the affected area. If necessary, the treatment is repeated several times.

Systemic therapy

Local medications alone are not enough to effectively combat papillomas. To prevent relapses, systemic treatment should be carried out, namely taking drugs that have an antiviral and immunomodulatory effect.

An example is inosine acedoben dimepranol. This drug is active against the human papilloma virus, helps to suppress it in the body and has an immunostimulating effect.

We emphasize once again that before using any medication, you must consult a specialist.
